Programme overview
LSFIN RPLP Certificate
The Recognition of Prior Learning Programme (RPLP) allows experienced professionals to gain formal academic credit for knowledge and skills they already hold — reducing the number of OTHM units they must complete during their diploma programme. LSFIN's RPLP is aligned to OTHM's Recognition of Prior Learning Policy and operates under the oversight of the Centre Principal and Lead IQA.

Units covered
1Step 1 — Initial Diagnostic: Complete the LSFIN ELP Diagnostic Assessment (Part B) to identify units where an RPL claim may be appropriate.
2Step 2 — RPL Assessor Assignment: LSFIN assigns a qualified RPL Assessor with subject-area expertise relevant to your claim.
3Step 3 — Evidence Mapping: Work with your RPL Assessor to map your qualifications, CPD records, professional experience, and work outputs to specific OTHM unit learning outcomes.
4Step 4 — Portfolio Development: Build your evidence portfolio on the LSFIN LMS using structured templates — employer references, project outputs, publications, certificates, and reflective accounts.
5Step 5 — Assessor Judgement: Your RPL Assessor reviews your portfolio against OTHM Assessment Strategy requirements and issues a written RPL Recommendation Report.
6Step 6 — OTHM Submission: Approved RPL claims are submitted to OTHM for formal credit — allowing your diploma programme to begin with RPL credits already applied.
